Paul & Krystal, You are in my prayers per your prayer guide. Rich Cozart delivered an inspiring word from Psalm 42 at CBS Wed. chapel recently. It has as it's culmination verse 8, in which I pray you find inspiration: "The Lord will command His lovingkindness in the daytime; And His song will be with me in the night, A prayer to the God of my life". In Christ, Lee (1 Cor. 1:9).

Thank you Paul for demonstrating your love for Christ, Krystal, your children, your students, your collegues, your boss and practically anyone you had the opportunity to converse with. I love how you love Christ in your obedience to His Word. I love how you confess your sins in utter repentance to our Father. I love your vulnerability and your "realness". I love how safe you feel confessing your fears about MS to me. Your faithfulness to God is so inspiring. I know it's not easy - you've told me that, but you keep pressing through! And that tells me that God is not finished with you yet. I thank the Lord for bringing you into my life. You constantly remind me that I am to live my life by faith and not by sight. You and Krystal teach me, by your amazing demonstration, how to love unconditionally. Paul, I don't know why you're going through what you're going through, but I do know you're not alone nor is God surprised by your circumstances. I pray for His shalom to be enveloped in and through you and that you consistently experience His perfect peace. If our Lord is pleased to heal you, I pray that healing come quickly. Until then, bask in the comfort, grace, mercy and power of our Heavenly Father. I love you Paul and Krystal Helbig. Keep fighting the good fight of faith.

When I first came to Paul's youth group in high school, I had never heard a Pastor teach the way Paul did. He was humble and honest enough to admit that he was a sinner like the rest of us kids. Yet, his awareness of his identity in Christ allowed him to bring a strong weekly challenge. Paul truly led by example in the way he taught, prayed, studied, led his family, and pursued his bride. He displayed all of the things I needed to observe as a young man, in order to be equipped as a believer, husband, father, leader, and friend. To this day, Paul continues to pour into my life through discipleship and friendship. I continue to glean wisdom and understanding by observing of how Paul and Krystal passionately pursue the King, while balancing life's obstacles. Thank you guys for everything!

What an example of faith, hope and love Paul and Krystal have been! Both of them have an infectious passion and love for God and his word. They take God seriously, know him intimately and walk in obedience. Thank you for praying for, loving on us and making me want to know Jesus more every time I'm around you!

Paul, you're the only youth pastor I ever met who took a bus full of kids to Arkansas and let them watch Saving Private Ryan on the way there and Braveheart on the way back and then extolled the virtues of leadership. You're also the first youth pastor I ever met who taught the Bible to his students and they actually enjoyed it! You guys changed my life through the Gospel and I'm so deeply grateful. I got a vision for marriage, family, and a love for Jesus in your youth ministry and you both continue to define for me sacrificial love, joy, and faith in YHWH. Thank you for everything!

When I was 18 years old I wanted badly to marry this incredible girl that I was dating, as Paul would put it "I was HOT for her Chili"! I wanted to discuss this with the closest thing to a father figure that I had, and that was Paul. I meet with Paul at his house after school once a week for discipleship and bible study. Paul sat me down this particular week in his sons bedroom and closed the door. I was a little concerned for the obvious odd location that he chose to meet. He begin an astute compartment by compartment analysis of my life. And compartment by compartment revealed to me just how immature and absolutely ridiculous my life was to any respectable adult. From my tri colored Camaro held together by bailing wire and faith, to my lack of a job, and my all too impressive savings account balance of $300... I felt as if I'd been stabbed in the gut! Everything inside of me wanted to get angry, give him the finger and storm out, I decided on giving him a hug instead and left his house to process all of this brand new, previously unknown information. I knew it came from a deep place of love and concern for me, I desperately needed that day, and it forever changed my life. And I'm still HOT for her chili! Casi and I have married for 13 years, have three kids, and will forever accredit much of the way our lives have turned out to the kindness of God for a passionate, loving, pastor and friend!
